Important legal notice

Mountra is for education and simulation only. We cannot guarantee that this page removes every legal risk, and this page is not legal advice. Before public launch, payment launch, ads, partnerships, or school/child-focused campaigns, get this reviewed by a qualified lawyer or compliance professional.

Mountra is not SEBI, SEC, or FINRA registered

Mountra is not registered with SEBI as an investment adviser, research analyst, broker, sub-broker, portfolio manager, mutual fund distributor, exchange, depository participant, or any other regulated market intermediary. We are also not affiliated with SEBI, NSE, BSE, RBI, any broker, or any exchange.

For US market learning, Mountra is also not registered with the US SEC or FINRA as an investment adviser, broker-dealer, research provider, exchange, transfer agent, or other regulated securities intermediary. US market features are educational simulations and research prompts only.

Mountra does not provide personalized investment advice, stock tips, research reports, buy/sell/hold calls, portfolio management, brokerage services, or real trading execution. All market screens, AI responses, courses, tools, scores, watchlists, and simulated portfolios are for education and practice only.

Core terms

1. Educational platform only

Mountra is a finance learning, simulation, and market education platform. It is designed to help students and beginners understand Indian and US markets, portfolios, news, money tools, crypto concepts, and finance careers. It is not a broker, exchange, investment adviser, research analyst, portfolio manager, bank, tax adviser, law firm, or financial institution.

2. No investment, legal, tax, or career advice

Nothing on Mountra is personalized advice, a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, borrow, lend, invest, trade, use leverage, enter crypto, choose a career, file taxes, or make any financial decision. AI outputs, lessons, calculators, scores, heatmaps, watchlists, and simulations are educational aids only. Always verify independently and speak with a qualified professional before acting with real money.

3. No real trading and no real-money investing

Mountra does not execute trades on NSE, BSE, crypto exchanges, or any other market. Virtual credits, simulated holdings, portfolio values, rankings, challenge results, wallet balances, and P/L are fictional learning records. They cannot be withdrawn, redeemed, transferred, converted to cash, or treated as investment returns.

4. Market data can be delayed, incomplete, or wrong

Prices, charts, fundamentals, ratios, headlines, rankings, sector views, and calculations can be delayed, cached, unavailable, estimated, rounded, parsed incorrectly, or replaced by fallback/demo values when third-party services fail. Do not use Mountra data for real trading, valuation, tax, accounting, compliance, or investment decisions.

5. Third-party data, news, names, and trademarks

Third-party data, news, RSS feeds, logos, company names, exchange names, instrument names, symbols, and trademarks belong to their respective owners. Mountra does not claim ownership of third-party content and is not endorsed by, affiliated with, or sponsored by those providers unless expressly stated. Users must follow the third-party sites' own terms when opening their links.

6. AI and automated content

AI assistant responses may be inaccurate, outdated, biased, incomplete, or unsuitable for your circumstances. AI content should be treated as a learning prompt, not as professional advice or a final answer. You are responsible for checking facts, laws, rules, market data, and assumptions.

7. User accounts and age

You must provide accurate account information and keep your login secure. Mountra is intended for users aged 13 and above. If you are under 18, use Mountra with parent, guardian, or teacher awareness. Parents or guardians may request account review or deletion by contacting support.

8. Payments and premium features

If Mountra offers premium features, payments may be processed by a third-party payment provider such as Razorpay. Mountra does not ask for or store full card numbers, UPI PINs, banking passwords, brokerage credentials, or crypto wallet private keys. Payment provider terms and refund rules may apply.

9. Acceptable use

You may not misuse Mountra, attack its systems, scrape or resell data, copy restricted content, bypass security, impersonate others, upload harmful code, harass users, use the platform for illegal activity, or present Mountra outputs as licensed professional advice.

10. Intellectual property

The Mountra name, design, interface, original lessons, tools, simulations, branding, and custom content are owned by Mountra or its creators. You may use the platform for personal learning. You may not copy, reproduce, redistribute, sell, or create competing services from Mountra content or code without permission.

11. Service availability

Mountra may change, pause, remove, or limit features at any time. Third-party APIs, RSS feeds, Firebase, hosting, payment providers, and internet services may fail or change without notice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, data availability, or that saved simulations will always be recoverable.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Mountra and its creators are not liable for financial losses, trading losses, missed opportunities, tax issues, academic/career decisions, data delays, third-party content, provider outages, AI mistakes, account issues, or indirect/consequential damages arising from use of the platform.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Mountra changes. The updated date on this page shows the latest version. Continued use of the platform after changes means you accept the updated terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are intended to be interpreted under the laws of India, except where mandatory consumer or data protection laws require otherwise. If a dispute arises, contact support first so we can try to resolve it quickly and fairly.

Data, news, and provider credits

Mountra uses third-party market data, RSS feeds, and public web sources only to support learning and simulation. We try to show source names where content appears. Data and news rights remain with the original providers and publishers.

Indian stock prices, charts, search, and indices

Mountra may use Yahoo Finance public endpoints for quote, chart, search, and index-style market data. Some stock detail screens may also use Groww for session snapshots and Screener for company ratio/fundamental views.

How Mountra uses news

Mountra shows headlines, timestamps, categories, source names, summaries/snippets where available, and outbound links. Users should open the original publisher page for the full article, context, corrections, subscription rules, and publisher terms. Mountra does not claim ownership of publisher articles.

Privacy policy

Mountra collects only the information needed to create accounts, secure access, save learning progress, operate simulations, improve the product, handle support, and maintain legal/security records.

Information we may collect

  • Account details such as email, display name, Firebase user ID, and Google profile information when you sign in with Google.
  • Learning and simulation records such as virtual credits, watchlists, holdings, transactions, course progress, challenge progress, wallet records, and preferences.
  • Basic technical information such as device/browser data, logs, cookies, analytics events, and security signals needed to run, protect, and improve the app.
  • Payment status or premium access metadata from payment providers, when premium features are used. Mountra does not store full payment instrument details.

How we use information

We use information to authenticate users, save and sync portfolios, wallet credits, watchlists, courses, crypto simulation data, AI-related preferences, premium status, support requests, security logs, and product analytics. We do not sell personal data.

Children and students

Mountra is intended for users aged 13 and above. Users under 18 should use it with parent, guardian, or teacher awareness. We do not intentionally collect brokerage credentials, bank passwords, crypto private keys, or sensitive financial account data. We do not use Mountra to execute real trades.

Contact for data requests

For access, correction, deletion, parent/guardian requests, privacy questions, or account support, contact support@mountra.in.

Cookies and analytics

Mountra may use cookies, local storage, Firebase authentication/session tools, browser storage, and analytics events to keep users signed in, remember preferences, protect accounts, debug errors, measure product usage, and improve performance.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but some login, simulation, wallet, course, and saved-progress features may stop working correctly.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards such as authenticated access, hosted database rules, and third-party infrastructure controls. No online service can be guaranteed completely secure.

Users are responsible for protecting their devices, passwords, Google accounts, and sessions. Tell us quickly if you believe your account or data has been accessed without permission.

Simulator and virtual credits

Stock credits, crypto cash, portfolio values, gains, losses, challenge scores, and wallet activity are simulated. They are provided for practice and learning only and are not money, stored value, securities, financial products, or rewards.

We may reset demo balances, correct errors, remove abusive activity, or change simulator logic if needed to protect the platform or improve learning.

Regulatory position

Mountra is not registered with SEBI as an investment adviser, research analyst, broker, sub-broker, portfolio manager, mutual fund distributor, or exchange. The platform is built to keep learning generic, educational, and non-personalized.

Mountra is also not registered with the US SEC or FINRA as an investment adviser, broker-dealer, research analyst, exchange, or regulated US securities intermediary. Any US market screen, ETF list, filing link, earnings prompt, or simulator record is for education only.

For real investments, use regulated professionals and official provider documents. Do not treat Mountra as a substitute for SEBI-registered advice, SEC/FINRA-regulated professionals, or your own independent research.
